MORE ABOUT WILD MEDICINE WALKS
Many of the little plants and shrubs we see growing in the wilder places that we often call ‘weeds’ contain medicinal properties which we can harness to make our own herbal medicines for free. You will be astounded to learn about the rich medicinal histories that many of these humble plants possess.
On these Wild Medicine Walks you will learn all about the medicinal properties of numerous wild plants, flowers, trees and mushrooms. You will learn how to safely identify and sustainably harvest these wild medicinal plants and learn about the different ways you might prepare them at home from drying to making oils or tinctures. You will also learn some of the fascinating history and folklore surrounding the use of these plants. Getting out and noticing what is growing at different times of year is a lovely way to tune into the land around us and celebrate the seasons.
The walks are usually very relaxed and are more of a ‘stroll’, with frequent stopping, so you don’t need to be very fit to join in. All abilities are welcome.
I have been running these workshops for over 7 years now and they really are the highlight of my working calendar! Come alone or with friends. I always try to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
You can also book a private walk with a group of friends or colleagues, contact me to discuss your requirements.
